25 Jul. 2009, Japan-Korea EU Centers’ Meeting

The Japan-Korea EU Centers’ Meeting was held July 25th at Keio University’s Mita Campus, Tokyo. Discussions centered on ways to increase cooperation and communication between EU Centres in Japan (EUSI) and Korea. (the Yonsei-SERI EU Centre, established jointly by,Yonsei University, and the Samsung Economic Research Institute, and the PNU EU Center, a collaboration between Pusan National University and Pusan City).

Discussions also focused on the importance of developing ties between both Japan’s other EU related centres (EUIJ Waseda, EUIJ Kansai) and EU centres in the Asia Pacific Region, including Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. As well as confirming the importance of information exchange between centres, an annual graduate student conference was proposed to facilitate the exchange of academic ideas.
